Thanks for reaching out. The lock uses 4×AA batteries and usually lasts up to about 12 months with normal use. When the batteries start running low, you’ll get a low-battery alert so you have time to replace them. If the batteries do run out completely, you can temporarily power the lock with a power bank using the Type-C emergency port at the bottom.
