Can this replace the Olympus Li-42B battery? null

It can replace the original one but not as strong and does not hold its charge for many pictures. LSHoffman

If you look at the image of the box it says LI-40B/42B

As long as the contacts are located in the same place and the battery size is the same, it will work. I'd suggest taking your old battery to the store for comparison purposes.
