Which starter deck do you get when you buy this? Is it random? I didn't see an option to select the starter deck. null

UPC's are the same on the two starter decks for this series. So if you want to verify that you are getting one or the other you will need to go in person. This isn't really a Best Buy issue, it's more of Ravensburger using the same UPC on all starter decks and booster packs for each series.

It is really dumb and unfair that you cannot choose which starter deck, as there are two. If they were random, understood, but they are preset and labeled on the box

On the box it will tell you what colors are in the starter deck. I don't know how this works when purchasing the decks online. When I went there were two to chose from.

I would suggest going instore. Both decks are great and typically available in store locations.

It is 'random' in that you do not have a choice what deck(s) they send you. However, if you order more than one deck BestBuy doesn't identify the different Starter Decks as being actually different/unique products. They are all the same to BestBuy so whatever number of decks you order you will get the next 'x' decks they pull from their stock to ship. they could be different decks or they could all be the same deck.

I can speak from mine and my friend's experience just today: I ordered three and got all the same sapphire/amber, he ordered two and both were steel/amethyst. Thankfully we could at least trade with each other, but this is very annoying of Best Buy to pretend like the decks are all the same product like the boosters. I actually ordered three anticipating that they might send duplicates and I wanted to increase my odds of getting the different ones. Nope.
