Q: QuestionWhy are the Disney Lorcana Starter Decks being sold as "Styles May Vary?" They are 3 different decks, so 3 separate products. One is Steel/Sapphire. One is Amber/Amethyst. One is Emerald/Ruby.
Asked by Justin.
- A:Answer Because they understand three facts: 1. Initial demand will be massive. 2. There will always be one set that will never move half as much as the others. 3. Figuring out which one that will be requires an impractical amount of time, and is an imprecise art even for fans of the game. They'll inevitably start selling them separately once it releases, but running this set-up initially insulates them from stock issues that will doubtless be severe as it is. Plus it's Disney, they know that this stuff is going to fly off the shelves even with this restriction. It's still an infuriating decision, but I get why they did it.
