• Yes, you can. I see you asked this question a year ago but you can buy DJI insurance 48 hours after you purchase it and activate your aircraft..

• Yes you can, but you have to buy it immediately after purchase or you'll have to jump through some hoops

• I did, but truly I don't think I will ever use it. It is crash proof. You have to buy it from dji before you activate your drone. If you do activate it they have a way around it by taking a video or something.
