• In normal and sport mode it will. In full M mode it will not

• Yes in normal mode or sport mode it will hover in place without touching the controllers not in manual mode

• There is a pause button that will make the DJI hover at any time. Normal mode hovers as well as long as you don't make the manual mode adjustments to your controller.
