The drone will know where you took off from and thats where it will try to go back to. You will have to fly it back to where your boat is to recover the drone again. I don’t believe you need internet to fly the drone.

If you move during flight and use return home function, the drone will go back to the takeoff point, not the new location. You can operate manually in this case to ensure a safe landing.
