First time flyer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first drone. I bought it for the camera capabilities (10 bit/ H265/ 4K etc) and user friendly interface. Being a first time flyer and sending 1600$ into the air was nerve racking but I knew that these things basically fly themselves and are loaded with tons of sensors. It’s been about 2 months now since my purchase and I’m still absolutely head over heels for this thing. I refer to it as “she” a lot and I’m constantly thinking of new places to fly her around. Excellent product. 11/10 would buy again.

Easy controll amazing video and photos
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing compact sized drone for what it can do and produce. I found the craft flies smoother and longer with less noise than the Phantom 4. Don't get me wrong, I love my P4, but this Mavic 2 Pro has become my go to sUAS. It is fast, stable, safe and reliable. The size of the drone when folded, the charger, controller and 4 batteries can fit in a small case and weighs a fraction of my P4 drone with case does. The 20 megapixel Hasselblad camera with 1' sensor produces photos at higher resolution with so much more clarity than my P4 did. The intelligent flight modes allow me to create results that would take me too long to develop the skill to accomplish on my own. Well worth the investment!

Great drone with spectacular video quality
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a first time drone user and to start on such a expensive model was rather daunting but I'm glad I did. This little drone folds up perfectly well enough that it fits in a basic camera bag. The first time using it feels like it takes a long time to setup but once you do, you'll be taking this little guy everywhere! Going from setup to flying is quick and effortlessly and shows in the craftsmanship. The quality of the Hasselblad sensor is incredible, even at night. You'll want to record in manual mode to get the best out of you investment. Once you go drone, you can't go back. It gives you a different perspective on the world and really opens up the possibilities of recording. I am by no means a professional filmographer but if you like to record, you can't go wrong with this drone. My suggestions: 1. Buy more batteries. Advertised as 31 minutes of flight time, I usually get 22-23 minutes and they go by very fast. 2. Test fly for a couple of hours first. Know the red pause button on your controller, it will save you heartache. 3. Buy the biggest micro SD card you can afford. 4k footage is huge, and having as many GBs as possible on you is crucial, especially when traveling to some of these wonderful places.

The magnificent flying machine
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an amazing machine! Being a photographer for many years as a professional and for pleasure,I gave myself another avenue for photography and try another dimension to enlarge my skills. This flying machine is not cheap but neither are the camera lens's and camera bodies that I use in my part time profession. A bit hesitant to put down that kind of money at first but I felt a bit more comfortable seeing it has a Hasselblad camera attached to its gimbal as that is a trusted legendary camera company. I was absolutely blown away by the video and stills that this drone is capable of. This my first drone and still learning how to be a (smooth operator) drone pilot as it takes time but well worth it. At this time the fall colors just pop when photographed in 4K. I like that it has a return to home button when I get beyond my skill level or just lose sight of it.

Fantastic Drone...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my 4th drone, and a upgrade from my Mavic Pro. The image quality on this one is far clearer and brighter then the original which I thought would be hard to beat. You honestly don't need the zoom model as in post production you can zoom in on most shots for a clear image. If you want to really unleash the power of this drone use Litchi not the DJI Go 4 app.

I love the Mavic 2 Pro
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Mavic 2 Pro has brought me much enjoyment in the month that I have owned it. I was afraid of it at first, but after about 5 hours of use, I am getting more comfortable with it. I am impressed with the photo performance (nice wide frame / sensor), and general stability of it's flight characteristics. It is easy to fly, you just need to build trust in it that it will not do anything unexpectedly. So far it is solidly stable. My goal is to use it professionally and get my FAA Part 107 certificate. I purchased the "Fly more" package, and regret that decision. The carrying case barely fits the device and added batteries. I ended up purchasing a separate case on Amazon. It is also much cheaper just to buy an aftermarket case and additional battery (I never use the 3rd so far) 2 batteries = about 50 min of flying time. My only gripe is that I wish there was more clarity to the images when you zoom-in. They tend to get blurry when zooming, but for the full-effect and especially at low-light, I am impressed. These are some unedited photos from the Mavic 2 Pro:

Succeeded my expectations! Worth every penny!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've never owned or flown a drone prior to buying this drone and If you're a beginner drone flyer, Don't let anyone tell you that because this is the top of the line drone that you should start with a simpler model. It is extremely easy to fly, and after just a few flights you'll feel like a pro. The collision detection seems to be very responsive and i tested it flying half speed (aprox. 15mph) into a roof on purpose and it stopped me. Also for those concerned about how she handles in pretty gusty winds, you'll be pleasantly surprised that pretty much anytime that i've flown its been 10 to 20 mph winds and it handles just fine. In 20mph obv you'll want to take things much more carefully but overall in my opinion, this drone has it all. I've sent my friends some pretty amateur footage and all of them said it looks like professionals in a helicopter tooks that. Not to mention its just a blast flying around scoping your surroundings from views you've never seen before!

Dependable
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We own a Production Company. We also have 3 drones. The Mavic Pro 2 is our favorite. We film a lot of Weddings and real estate views. This drone is a beast. The clarity of the photos and videos is crisp, clear and clean. Using an ND filter will take your content to a different level of production. It stabilizes in the wind because it weighs more than the Mavic Air. It’s faster and the batteries have a longer life. We use it almost daily. Would highly recommend this drone. We are 107 commercial drone pilots as well.

Q: QuestionWhat's the difference between the Pro and Zoom? Is it worth price difference?
Asked by Frank.
- A:Answer There are a ton of in-depth reviews on YouTube but in short, the difference is all in the camera. The Pro has a camera better suited for professional use and for those that are accustomed to doing post processing to achieve the final results they are looking for. Things like a 1 inch sensor, adjustable aperture, 10-bit color, HDR and H.265 compression. The Zoom Is a 1/3 sensor which still takes great photos but now you have an optical zoom which can come in quite handy. The zoom also includes one additional mode called Dolly Zoom. You’ll just have to Google it and see it for yourself on YouTube. It’s neat but may not something that interests you. Is it worth the extra money? It is if you are serious about photography. I think for the average consumer, the zoom will be just fine. I went with the Pro but do wonder if I should’ve just went with the Zoom.

Q: QuestionDoes the app use cellular data to fly the drone. Or can I use my tablet or old phone so my phone doesn't drain its battery so fast.
Asked by Schellsbeer.
- A:Answer No cellular data is necessary when flying a DJI drone. The only thing you need an internet connection for is for activating the drone when it's purchased or downloading and installing firmware updates.

Q: QuestionWhat is the range or distance it can fly and for how long
Asked by Jesse.
- A:Answer The specifications say you can get up to a 5 mile range. There is a YouTube video out there proving that it can be done in a wide open space. However, I tried to fly it to my sister's house and it got just under a mile away, I lost reception and it returned home by itself. Now, this was among suburban homes, trees and etc. So, I would say it is pretty darn good. I may have been able to get it to go further if I flew it higher but I have an international airport nearby so I try not to push the limits in height. Besides, at almost a mile away forget about trying to see it. You are only flying by the video/map at this point. As for flight time the specifications say max 31 minutes. However, I average about 25 minutes. That seems long when you are just playing around but if you wanted to do some serious photography I could see that time going by real quick. But, compared to your options for this kind of quality and battery life you just are not going to find it.

Q: QuestionHow high the DJI - Mavic 2 Pro Quadcopter can fly and how far can it go from the remote controller?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer You can only LEGALLY fly 400ft high and you are suppose to keep it in sight. Illegally it can go around 3.5 miles away.
Answered by ChristianSmithPhotography
Q: QuestionSo this only comes with one battery?
Asked by AlB.
- A:Answer Yes which gives you about 30 minutes of flight time and takes roughly an hour to charge.
Answered by Brandyn
Q: QuestionWhats the range in Miles that the drone can go away from you while flying.
Asked by Brinnysanders.
- A:Answer The Mavic can fly up to 4 miles away. However, unless you have visual observers (that also have voice communications with you) along the way, you can only fly it as far away as you can visually see it. These are FAA rules that you must abide by.
