I purchased a float platform that attaches to drone without interfering with the cameras built for my drone. It allows you to land on calm to medium waves (no whitcaps) Crashing into the water will ruin the drone. Most insurance company you will need to have the broken drone to get a new one. If it sinks you are screwed. Also you will have to pay attention to your flight time in follow mode, as the drone will attempt to land once battery is criticality low. You want to land manually with floats to help control when the drone touches the water on the wave if any.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.First the drone won’t crash in the water if the battery power is more than 20%. If it runs out of the battery power chances are the sensors won’t work and it will come down and sink. It will damage the Drone. Follow mode is good. This isn’t Submarine for your information.
