Well. Registering your drone is as easy as going to the FAA website and looking for the options to register a drone. From there you will follow the prompts of filling out your personal information and then you will need the serial number from your drone and possibly your controller. There is a $5 processing fee so you will pay that with your credit card or debit card and then find a way to put the registration number they give you on to your drone. It really isn't much to it. Very simple stuff.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The truth is that you have to register all drones with the FAA and that includes the Mini 2 as well. You just need the recreational license and it isn’t really that much of a pain to do. The thing about the Mini 2 is that it has the flight identification system in it, so they know very much who owns that drone. I do not see any such options in the Mavic Air 2, but I bet it is now in the Air 2S.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Super easy, and once you do it once it is good for all your recreational flying drones
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It takes about 10 mins and costs you $5. It is worth the time and money spent.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The FAA's website is pretty easy to navigate to register and the registration process is quick and easy. Once you register the number you're provided number can be applied to all your drones from .55lb to 55lb. As far as how that can affect you in the future, with the FAA implementing the need for drones to be equipped with ADS-B they're gonna know where it is and when it is regardless of if it's registered or not. So for the better camera and stronger flight capabilities I would go with the Air 2 if you have the opportunity to choose.
