Definitely has an app. No purchases I have seen on it, though. It has tutorials, and gimbal controls. It also has a really cool feature that is like a video maker. It has different templates and tells you how to shoot different clips, then weaves them together to make a cool video. Also has a feature in which you can add several clips ad the system will use AI to create a little video.

Please try again later.This gimbal works with all cell phones that fit in the magnetic holder without the need for the DJI app. Just put in your phone and turn it on then use your camera app. The DJI app that adds extra features and automation like zoom and follow will work with most phones and lets you register the gimbal and buy the $16 3 year warranty but not required. I use it without the app unless I need it to follow a person or take special photos.
