I would Reccomend and indoor nano quad copter to start out on. As they are about 20$ and have the same exact controls and flight ability to fly as the dji standard minus the 400$ price tag and some bells and whistles. I have many copters and recommend this to everyone.

There are a few things you need to do before you can fly like, register with FAA, charge batteries, update firmware, download DJI Go app and register your drone. As far as flying the drone it's really simple. Make sure you're in an open area outside. If you've played a PS3, PS4, XBOX 360, or a XBOX One, you will have no problem flying this drone.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There are down loads you need on a smart phone. Also some set up via the app. Once this is done the drone is super easy to fly. Just be sure you are in a clear area to fly. Being new to this that adds a safety margin for you. I also watched you tube videos and DJI's videos before I got the drone.
