“How many blocks can it cover if I want to fly it to the park from my house?”

Depends on the blocks but out of beginner mode it goes .5 miles for a phantom 3 standard.

Hello DeAndre. The Phantom 3 Standard has a maximum transmission distance of 1000m (3281ft or 0.6 miles). Thanks.

It has about at 1/2 mile distance, however remember the regulations ... it must be within sight at all times.

Depends on the size of the block. The brochure says 1000 meter a little over 3000’ unobstructed. but in a neighborhood with houses and obstructions I only get 800’ away before I get the message "low signal" on the receiver.

With the Phantom 3 standard you could probably go about six-tenth of a mile which is quite far. I wouldn't recommend letting the aircraft get out of you line of sight, though.
