Dear customer, Thank you for your inquiry. The DJI Pocket 2 can be used while charging. It is recommended that you use it by itself after being fully charged. Using it while charging will cause the battery to heat up and affect its service life. If you need to enhance the mobile battery life, the DJI Pocket 2 Charging Case can be used, and the built-in battery storage capacity can recharge the DJI Pocket 2 about 1.5 times. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it can. I have a dash mount so I can record during road trips, and power it with cigarette lighter. Also have battery pack and long cord that slides into pants pocket to keep it charged while walking through the woods

See the bottom line is, you are charging the inbuilt battery pack with an external source, be it a power adaptor or external battery. It charges the device and also continues its normal operations such as for recording, etc.
