1)You can download the photos and videos directly to your smartphone through the dji app you use to control the drone 2)Hand gestures only let you do limited controls to take selfies the drone will always face you in this mode and limited to like 10 feet away. The controller allows you to pilot the drone with far more range then even using phone controls and at much higher speeds and greater precision.

Please try again later.1) no you do not need a computer 2) hand signals are only for close range. the remote allows flight distance up to a mile away. the drone couldnt possibly see your hand signals at that distance. honestly if you are thinking about getting this drone, YOUTUBE the reviews alllllll your questions will be answered. and i am a nube, and i already think it is a great drone “dji spark”
