• No need to purchase any WiFi, the remote (sold alone or with fly more combo) and drone produce there own WiFi so you can connect to the drone or remote.

• You dont need a mobile plan however on initial set up you would want to have wifi either personal or public to update firmeare on initial setup. Once firmware updated you can fly with just a cell phone that has wifi as a connection.

• It needs to connect to your drone via wifi but not an actual internet service. That is how the drone and the phone communicate.
