• Yes it has temp control. I like to keep mine a bit higher as the space is larger; it seems to heat its spot nicely but not the rest of the 300sq ft area.

• You need to turn the heater on first and set your desired temperature. In this case, the heater will automatically turn on (start heating) whenever it detects that the room temperature drops below your set temperature.
