I'm not sure but if you go on YouTube and search this product I'm sure you could get the answer you are looking for. One thing that I could tell is that is very safe it has a good protective cover in the front of the heater for protection.

From what I looked up they can turn themselves off if they get too hot internally. so if this device falls over that should effect its ability to disperse the heat so it should theortically turn itself off once it gets too hot because it fell over. The temperature to turn itself off is lower than it would be for it to catch anything on fire (theoretically).
