This is a microphone / head phone splitter/adapter used to separate the signals from a single 4 ring male 1/8 dia (3.175 mm) plug to become 2 female 1/8 dia (3.175 mm) 2 ring jacks and separates the headphone and mic signals . So it allows one to connect a single mic and a head phones to a device i.e. laptop computer that has both the mic and headphones combined on the same plug. So, in my case I used it to connect a studio mic as input (the red female connector) and some ear buds to the lap top's combo headphone/mic input jack. From your question, it sounds like you have a different need, if you are trying to connect to a flat screen's RCA output. First RCA outputs are used to connect line level signals to say an external amp or recorder, or other devices that take line level signals. Line level signals will not have the signal strength to drive headphones or earbuds directly, a line level signal would need to amplified. Many flat screens have two types of outputs line level RCA and headphone 1/8 dia (3.175 mm) jacks; which can drive headphones. So, check your wireless speaker and wireless connector requirements such as type of connect and signal level requirements as inputs to them and then select the appropriate cable to match your needs. If I read between the lines though, if the goal is to drive both the wireless speaker and the wireless headphones so that the TV sound goes to each, what is needed is a splitter cable that takes a single signal and splits it into two so that it can drive two devices. Think like I have one headphone jack and I want to split in in two so that I can have 2 sets of head phones, one for me one another person.
