I have no sound or HD picture loss running from a high quality splitter from the back of my computer to a computer monitor then from the splitter running this to a Samsung HD t.v. So I have an extra hook-up to go through with still no loss so a direct hook-up for only sound should work absolutely great. It is directional and the ends are labeled so that is easy too.

It was mounted against the wall so that I cannot access the input panels. Someday I will have to re-mount the tv and try the cable. The Best Buy associate advised me that the larger cable was better across the longer footage. I'm sorry I bought a VIzio TV. It is not user friendly. I bought the cable so that I can access my FIOS subscription through a box that is 30 feet away from where I installed the TV. My house was built in 1993. It did not include a FIOS type installation port in the living room, so I'm trying to work around it. Vizio and other Google products want me to buy their apps but why should I pay for a YouTube, Hulu or other subscription when I already have a FIOS package? I'm very frustrated with new technology.
