• No you are able to do this. Apple uses a proprietary software on their devices to where you cannot interact directly to a samsung device. Depending on your documents being transferred you would need to transfer them first to a computer and then to the other device.

• It depends on the model of your tablet - if your tablet accepts the USB-Type A male end of this cord, you are all set, but most tablets use a micro USB port, in which case you need an adapter that accepts the Type A male end and outputs to the micro USB port.
