It will connect it but it won't run at 144hz afaik. I use the adapter for my 3rd screen on PC since my GPU has 1 HDMI and 3 DP outputs and the screens run 60hz(HDMI to DP adapter but can't select 75hz in settings), 75hz(HDMI), and 144hz(DP). The 2 HDMI monitors are 2 of the same 75hz monitors so I think the adapter has something to do with limiting it to 60hz, but Xbox can't make over 60fps anyway so it's not like you'll notice stuttering or tearing. The adapters a good cheap way to make your setup work without buying a new screen though!
