• This is a HDMI adapter not a USB adapter. The Note5 has a micro USB port not micro HDMI. Micro USB and micro HDMI are not the same type connectors. The micro HDMI male plug is closer in size to the mini USB just different shaped. This adapter is only changing HDMI sizes. Not HDMI to USB.

• Well I'll be in a Samsung product it should work just fine as long as you have the mini HDMI plug-in I don't think any of those had the fatter smaller ones they all had the skinny little bit longer micro HDMI I don't see why not
