“Are these AA batteries supposed to get this hot when charging? My husband is scared to let them charge without watching them.. We just bought them and put them in our Duracell charger and they got hot enough to make my husband really uncomfortable.. I've charged rechargeable for years and this has never happened..and did not happen the first initial charge I gave these batteries.. But is happening the second.. Are they supposed to get hot?”

All batteries get a little warm when they are charging, if you believe them to be getting hotter than they should I would recommend taking them into your local Best Buy, to the Geek Squad counter, to get them looked at under the warranty.
