• This is definitely for a single stud. However, once mounted, the unit will swing left or right to adjust where you want the the tv. It's hard for me to describe but it will probably work for you. It did for me. My wall stud was off about 5 inches from where I wanted it to center the the tv. I mounted on the closest stud and swung it to the correct side. Good luck
