“Just came from the Store and my intent was to purchase this kit along with the Hero5, but the sales person talked me out of it saying that customers lost their cameras because of the mount not being made sturdy. Any comments or experiences?”

I've used the chest strap frequently and so far it has held up pretty good. I compared it with the GoPro strap and it feels and looks identical. Of course, I'm not into the super action stuff so I don't know how the other pieces will hold up under stress. The one item I find suspect is the wrist strap. Although it appears sturdy, it's hard to keep on and constantly comes loose (velcro).
