Hello Anne, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Airwrap has three temperature settings: High Heat 194ºF, Low Heat 140°F, and Cold Shot 82.4ºF. With regard to using this on a wig or hair extensions, we do only recommend using this on human hair, rather than anything synthetic. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
