Hi! Dyson has put as a safety feature that the machine will turn off after 8+ hours of use when heating. This is to avoid overheating the unit but also any accidents caused by leaving it running all day. Consider it a 'sleep' feature. To avoid it shutting off just here and there press a button on the remote just to reset the timer. But there is no real way to turn off the feature.

This is a safety feature of the machine, and it's not something that can be disabled. You can immediately power the machine back on, however. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
