“I purchased the Dyson Ball Bagless Upright from several years ago. The problem I had with that one was that the retractable coil (for the attachments) ended up getting holes in it just by normal use. Is the coil built better now?”

I notice with mine when you use the hose it bends at the top where the hard plastic and tube meets. I think the connection there is a little better because it has a softer piece that goes around the tube but still isn’t ideal when using the hose. I think it’s just too powerful because it’s hard to bend the hose when it’s on.

We used various tools/objects to remove the sharp wood shard and had zero damage done to the hose. Hope this advice helps you towards your next Dyson purchase. I highly recommend the Dyson Ball Animal 2 as your next upgrade!
