Sounds to me like you need to clean your filters. Have you cleaned them? If you clean them improperly or with water with a lot of sediment then they will need replacement more often. Dyson says they are lifetime but not if you want optimum performance. I had a DC15 Animal that went 12 years, still with exceptional suction.
