I have the Animal 3, purchased about 6 months ago, and if that's the item you're asking about, I can 1000% relate! I like the cleaning capability of the unit, EXCEPT for the detachable hose. I could lose my mind when I need to use it!

I just bought mine a couple weeks ago and the hose is still fighting.    Love the vacuum but not being able to use the hose without brute strength is disappointing.

I have found it easiest to put the hose away if it’s running and I cover up the suction end of the hose it tends to fold down a lot easier

The hose will be stiff upon first use, we do suggest stretching it out for more flexibility.
