Have a dog and cat and wood floors with rugs and fabric upholstery. It performed exactly as I wished for.

This machine does feature a spinning brush bar; depending on your flooring/finish, you may not wish to use a brush bar on your hard floors. This can be disabled, by powering off the brush bar, once the vacuum is turned on and reclined. For floor surfaces where you're ok using the brush bar, that will help gather and pick up pet hair from your floors. Best Wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
