“Looking to potentially purchase this unit through either Best Buy or Dyson directly. From Dyson, it has a 5 year warranty. Does the 5 year extended warranty from Dyson cover the battery? What about battery fade? On the manual it's not very clear. thx!”

I talked to Dyson direct, but decided to purchase mine from Best Buy, because I could buy the extended warranty from Best Buy. With Best Buy’s extended warranty, you can take it back to the store and they will give you a brand-new one, rather than having to mail it back to the factory for them to fix or replace. Much better to go through Best Buy. Plus you get the cash-back rewards through Best Buy.
