• Hi this is Joe from Dyson. The extension hose is only compatible with the DC24 compact upright and our handheld vacuums. The serial number prefix you have provided is for our DC40 upright. We currently do not offer any extension hoses for the DC40. Best wishes, Joe Dyson Customer Service
