Hello Lou, This is Miella from Dyson. The Dyson HP01 features the Dyson loop amplifier, so there are no blades that can cause damage. We do recommend using caution when it heat mode as the loop can be warm to the touch. Hope this helps! Miella Dyson Customer Support
