  • QuestionWhat is the different wattage when Heat is used?(like other portable heater, there is low(600W), med(750W or 900W) and High(1500W))?

  • QuestionWould this hot/cold purifier heat a 3 seasons porch with no other heat source?

    • Answer Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. You can use this on a porch, as long as the Dyson is not exposed to any water or other weather elements. If the porch is open, or screened-in, you wouldn't get the benefit of the air purification. The unit won't cool like an AC unit, as it's just a fan that does not have any Freon. Using your remote control, you can press your power button to turn the unit on; the temperature select button will allow you to set your target room temperature, and the airflow select button would let you choose from 10 airflow speeds.   • QuestionCan you run heat on hpo1 for continuous use for 48 hours

    • Answer Dyson HP01 is no different; that is, when you use it as an air purifier. As an air purifier, it’s maximum wattage is 44W. If you run it 24/7 – generally, HPo1 is turned on all the time – it will use about 1 kWh per day. And that’s if it’s at the maximum fan speed setting all the time, even during the night. Dyson HP01 is also capable of functioning as a space heater. The cooling effect of Hot+Cool is just a fan (not an air conditioner). The ‘Hot’ part, however, is a true heater. And for heating, you need some serious wattage. As a space heater, Dyson HP01 can draw as much as 1,575W. That’s 35x more than when it functions as an air purifier
