A:AnswerHi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. In terms of safety, our HP01 does have some built-in safety features. After 9 hours of continuous use, the machine will shut itself off in heat mode. You can turn it back on after that time if you choose to. Also, if the unit were to get knocked or tipped over, it would automatically shut itself off.
Best wishes,
Kelly

A:AnswerHello Kate, this is Kelly with Dyson. We do not recommend using an adapter with your machine, as it can cause damage and void your machine's warranty. Dyson machines are only intended for use within the country where they are purchased, as they are not dual-voltage.

A:AnswerHi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. As the HP01 is one of our non-connected units, it won't have the ability to connect to the Dyson Link App, and set up a run time schedule. To power your machine on/off, you'll have to utilize the remote control or the power button located on the front of the machine.

A:AnswerSort of. Yes, it will definitely hear the tent. It will remove the visible smoke from the air, but it won’t do a thing for the smell. Also this unit is delicate and runs off a 120VAC outlet. Not something I’d want to haul and power to the middle of a frozen lake.
A:AnswerHello Joshua,
This is Miella from Dyson. We do recommend keeping the machine 4-6 inches away from the wall to allow for proper machine ventilation.
Hope this helps!

A:AnswerHello Chris, this is Kelly with Dyson. With regard to filter life, your machine will show the letter "F" on the display, when it's time to change the filter. The filter should last roughly 4382 hours; if used 12 hours every single day it should give you about a year of performance. The Dyson Pure Hot+Cool™ purifier fan removes a range of contaminants from the air. It purifies to remove 99.97% of allergens and pollutants as small as 0.3 microns from the home. It also removes pollen, pet dander and odors such as cigarette smoke and cooking smells. You should notice a vast difference in your indoor air quality if you're in an area affected by the wild fires.

From these results 99.97% of allergens and pollutants as small as 0.3 microns are removed from the air. We hope this helps.

A:AnswerHi Terry, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson Pure Hot + Cool air purifier will automatically removes 99.97% of allergens and pollutants as small as 0.3 microns. This includes tobacco smoke, radon gas, dust, mold spores, pollen and allergens. With regard to viruses, such as Covid-19, Dyson purifiers are scientifically tested to capture particles as small as allergens and viruses, but we want to be clear that at this time, no purifier manufacturer—including Dyson—can speak to their products’ performance against the COVID-19 virus. As the circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 virus outbreak are developing and ever-changing, nobody as yet knows with certainty how this virus behaves, so we recommend people follow guidance on COVID-19 virus prevention from the relevant local public health bodies.
