Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. I am happy to let you know the differences between the HP01 Hot + Cool, and the HP04 Hot + Cool Link. Both machines are designed to intelligently purify, heat and cool you. The HP04 model is Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled, to allow you to connect your purifier to the Dyson Link App on your smart phone device. Within the app you can control the machine, set up a run time schedule, view air quality and also the remaining life on the filter. The HP01 will not be able to connect to the app. The HP04 model also has an LCD display. HP01 will oscillate 180º and the HP04 oscilaltes 350° and also has backward air flow. Please try again later.Well to start off the models are different, one is just plain white and smaller air ring (plastic look) while the newer version has some steel trimmings and has a bigger circular ring to it which I find more elegant in style. The air and purifier work just the same except the hp04 has a small navigation screen controlled by app or remote control (not a touchscreen) which you get to see the rooms change in pollution throughout the day. They both do heat and cool air up to the same temperatures. Hp01 isn’t WiFi compatible while the HP04 uses WiFi to be used as a smart home accessible device via Alexa or Apple home. Hope that helps.
