There air cone is not variable. It just rotates.

You have the ability to oscillate the machine 350 degrees, along with airflow speeds from 1-10. You can also opt to have the airflow come through the front of the machine, or on this unit, diffuse it through the back of the unit. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
