• Hello Stephanie, this is Kelly with Dyson. The AM09 is a Hot+Cool machine, but it does not purify the air. All the TP and HP machines will work as either a cool, or a Hot+Cool along with the benefits of air purification. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
