Hi Dee, this is Kelly with Dyson. The filter for the Outsize Total Clean likely should never need to be replaced; it's washable and should be washed every 30 days. We do have owners who opt to purchase a second filter to use as a backup, when the other filter is being dried after washing. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
