I was wondering the same thing and find it strange that the machine comes with a box of 3 packets, but then you can’t get more! I guess I will buy the citric acid on Amazon because we do like the machine. It works well to combat the dry air from the wood stove.

I'm not certain which packets you're referring to. For cleaning the machine, you can use white vinegar. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
