“I have been using this for 2 weeks (every night), on the auto cycle, and the water tank is still full ... haven’t had to change it yet ... I’m guessing something is wrong? If so, how do I troubleshoot?”

My recent experience is that it does not work well as humidifier. Please check your return policy and act fast.
