On the Dyson site they address the CADR. I can say that mine has always worked very quickly in removing cooking odors or dust from the room. I’m really impressed with this purifier. It’s very quiet even on a high setting.

This is the volume of filtered air delivered by a purifier in a given time frame. This measurement does not represent the quality of the air leaving the unit, only how much. For this reason we feel that it is largely irrelevant. This does not in any way represent a machine's ability to effectively mix the purified air with the ambient air in the room. CADR testing is performed in an empty room, with a ceiling fan simulating air movement - this is not indicative of the live environment our products are used in. Our products have a lower CADR – but actually projects the air much further than other products, features better filtration, and more effectively mixes the air in the room.
