QuestionThis unit says it is for 800 sqft. is it too big for my 13 x 20 room (260sqft). Air conditioners are recommended to be sized properly. Not sure if it matters for this type of fan/filter since it doesn't have anything to do with moisture. Thanks

- Answer There are multiple fan settings, like 1 to 10, so the larger the room, the higher the setting you would choose!

Questionwill this be effective in a 250 -300 square foot room, or is it too big? Also, can I move it from room to room & it be effective? I've already bought it, but after reading about it, Dyson says it's better for a 800 square foot room. Please advise .

- Answer On the Dyson site they address the CADR. I can say that mine has always worked very quickly in removing cooking odors or dust from the room. I’m really impressed with this purifier. It’s very quiet even on a high setting.

- Answer Hi there June, this is Tia from Dyson. The TP01 includes an outstanding HEPA filtration system which captures allergens, gases, bacteria and smoke. - Answer A ceiling fan lowers the ambient temp about 3 degrees. I think if this fan were blowing right on you from a couple feet away, you might see 5 or 6 degree difference, but this is not an air conditioner or a swamp cooler. It is a cool breeze machine with very pure air.

- Answer The tower comes off and you remove the shroud. Just take off the old filter and put on the new. It’s very easy to do.

- Answer Yes, it comes with the filter which is supposed to last for about a year if running it 12 hours a day. Replacement filters are about $70

- Answer Hi Bob, this is Kelly with Dyson. In diffused mode, the airflow coming out of the amplifier loop is more spread out or diffused within the room. This mode would be ideal if trying to cool or purify the air in a whole room. For a single user, you can use focused mode, to keep the airflow more tight or concentrated in one spot. QuestionCould this replace a stand-alone air purifier, like a Levoit LV-H133, with the added benefit of having an oscillating fan for cooling the air? Is the filter inside rated as H13 medical grade HEPA, like most stand-alone purifiers in this class? THanks!

- Answer It could. However, remember that a fan does not cool the air, but rather pushes air and thereby promotes heat exchange from the heat radiating from your skin.

- Answer Hello Chris, This is Miella from Dyson. The TP01 will provide the cooling fan when the filter does need replacing, but the airflow can be affected, and the purification aspect will be altered. To ensure the machine is performing at the optimal level, we recommend replacing the filter when the machine alerts you of changing. Hope this helps! Miella Dyson Customer Support

- Answer Hi Terri, this is Kelly with Dyson. When your non-washable filter needs replacing, you will see an F error code on the display. You will need to replace the filter, and then reset the appliance to clear the code. To do this, turn the power off, wait 60 seconds and then turn the machine back on.
