How do I tell when the filter needs to be replaced? null

Once you upload the app then you can go in and check air quality and it also shows the life of the air filter and when to change it..

Hi Jma, This is Carissa with Dyson. Our Pure Hot + Cool filter will need to be changed every 6 months to a year depending on use and the air quality in your home. The display screen will show a F when it is time to replace.

It connects to your smart phone and will let you know when to change it.
