No, this unit is just a fan. It will simply blow the existing air around. They seriously need to drop the word "cool" from the name. Sure, it looks 'cool', but that is about it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Unfortunately, I bought this to cool the room and it didn't work. I'd stick with your regular fan. I have a Vornado that works much better. Good Luck!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is not efficient as cooling say like a Vornado or a Honeywell especially. If you have air conditioning going on, it will lower the temperature of what you're feeling if it is placed between you and a vent. If its not positioned so, then it will just circulate the air you have at that temperature. Does not cool unless it has an outter cooling source. I know Dyson says it cools, but for Arizonans only when its 50-60 degrees outside does the cool setting feels like its cooling. You would be far better off with a circular Honeywell fan that looks similar to Vornado.... better yet, just install a ceiling fan if you can. However, its heat portion is really efficient and really does warm up a large sizable space in a few hours or less. I would say it could warm up a 600 sq ft space and make it quite toasty. I know the Dyson unit without the air purifier seemed to project more heat and cool air than the one with the purifier. I would say it could easily warm 800 sqft open space.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I heard that the fan pulls cool air from the base and pushes it up thru the fan where it hits warmer air and begins to fall. that it lowers 3-4 degrees, that w/the fan it feels like 6 degrees cooler. But I don't know. I am trying to decide which one to buy.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's like a fan. It will not cool off your room like an air conditioner.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello! This is Miella from Dyson. The machine is a cooling fan, rather than an A/C. However, it's a cooling fan that also cleans the air of impurities during use. Hope this helps! Miella Dyson Customer Service
