“Can the tap water be used in the humidifier? Is the water tank leak proof?”

• Ye, tap water is recommended by Dyson. I haven’t had any issues with the tank leaking. I have 2 machines and neither have leaked at all.

• I use water from my Berkey Water Filter. Tap water is hard but will work. They provide a starter pack of cleaner powder. The tank will spill of you torn over machine.

• Hello MK, this is Kelly with Dyson. You can use tap water in the PH04 Pure Humidify+Cool Formaldehyde. While the tank itself will be leak proof, care should be taken when moving the machine, to prevent any leaks or spills. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
