“How often does the humidifier component need to be cleaned? And how does one properly clean it? I fill it up every other day with tap water and have done no cleaning since I have owned it ~4 months. Is that okay or am I missing something?”

After 4 months I would for sure clean it. If you don’t have the app installed I would download it. In the app it will let you choose your water hardness and it will notify you when it needs to be cleaned. Based on my water hardness I get about 1400 hours before I should clean mine.

That said, the deep clean cycle is generally a monthly cycle designed to eliminate bacteria and lime scale buildup throughout your machine's water system. We do have resources available which cover, and outline recommendations, and steps to help ensure your machine continues to run at its best.
