I would recommend using it on hair that is at least 80% dry. Super wet hair is heavy and doesn’t wrap around easy, it’s harder for the Dyson to make it wrap around on its own.

No. Hair must be dried using dryer attachment upto 80% which takes about 5-10 mins depending on hair volume. Only then you should use the wrap barrel attachment to curl it
